Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Kaitiakitanga

Project Kaitiakitanga will aim to change my university's policy which indirectly allows a Student to discard and throw away thousands of books after the end of a semester. This mission will also look to raise a fundraiser from this mission and use the funds generated to provide stationary to nearby slum areas where there is no access to education and where Children are not able to afford stationary.

About the Millennium Fellow

Vatsal Jindel is a penultimate year law student at the National Law University in Delhi, India. Vatsal is passionate about generating awareness in communities to stimulate and empower them. He believes that such awareness-focused social actions have compounding positive effect on local communities. This is the basis of her project, through which he is attempting to initiate network of local community empowerment and development. After graduation, Vatsal plans to work for socio-economic development and contribute to policy making.
