Millennium Fellowship Project: You Are Not Alone

Dhaka faces a dire mental health crisis, with limited awareness and resources. High stress levels, academic pressures, and societal stigma contribute to a lack of support for those in need. Increased efforts are crucial to address this issue and provide essential mental health services to the city's residents. However there is a stigma surrounding taking up mental health assistance services in this city so we aim to create a conversation regarding it so that more people feel comfortable to talk about it. While it is not possible to target the entirety of Dhaka with our efforts, we aim to reach out to North South University students and create a positive impact on campus.

The Project ‘You Are Not Alone’ aligned with UN SDG 3- ‘Good Health and Well Being’ aims to address mental health issues, raise awareness, uplift individuals and promote kindness among the students of North South University. This project aims to create a community where mental issues are addressed, respected and dealt with care.

To achieve this, the project utilizes LinkedIn to reach out to North South University students. These messages are designed to provide support and encouragement related to mental health.
The "You Are Not Alone" project is expected to have several significant impacts on the North South University and its community as we aim to reach 1000 students.

We are optimistic that through our project we will be able to raise awareness and ensure that more people take mental health seriously at North South University.
