Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Wellness

Climate change is a rising issue all over the world where recent floods in Pakistan caused great damage resulting in an ongoing malaria outbreak. It is a threat to human life so urgent climate action is needed. The project aimed to educate individuals particularly students and communities about the connection. Between climate change and human health, to adopt sustainable actions to mitigate the adverse affects through community outreach programs, Community Engagement and tree plantation drives.

About the Millennium Fellow

Maryam Maqsood is Passionate Public Health Student at National University of Medical Sciences in Islamabad Pakistan. She always participates in co curricular activities and also worked in other organizations as well to improve health and wellbeing, projects related to SDG, Research. She aims to bring Awareness about how climate change is impacting human health. To create a big social impact all over the world. She is concerned not just with national issues but International issues. Besides this She is creative in drawing, Painting. After She graduates her plan is to pursue Master degree in Public health and work in a field of community health.
