Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Garima

Project Garima was an ambitious project aimed at sensitization toward the plight of men and women who became prey to the witch-hunt-related violence, ostracization, and discrimination in the tribal state of Jharkhand, India.

About the Millennium Fellow

This is Ankisha Vandana, She comes from rural part of small tribal State in India. Unlike many in her community she was given a proper opportunity of education and support from her family and society this has made her realise how much she owe to this society and how well she can contribute to the greater causes. The place where she comes from, Witchhunting is prominently practiced there. She as a child has witnessed various houses being ruined because of this, she now has vision to help people understand the superstition behind Witchhunting.
