Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Garima

Project Garima was an ambitious project aimed at sensitization toward the plight of men and women who became prey to the witch-hunt-related violence, ostracization, and discrimination in the tribal state of Jharkhand, India.

About the Millennium Fellow

Kalpana Kumari is a second year law student at National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi, India. Being born and brought up in a tribal state of Jharkhand, she has heard the cases of witch hunting and it disturbed her to such an extent that she had decided to do something for the women facing this issue. She has chosen law as a field to help them to come out of this issue and live a peaceful life.
