Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Vidya Shakti (Empowering Education for Tribal Girls)
Project Vidya Shakti is a transformative 6-month initiative operating under the United Nations Millennium Fellowship. The project is centered on addressing the high middle school dropout rates among tribal girls in Jharkhand, India. The multifaceted approach involves tackling key barriers to education, including poverty, cultural norms, and the absence of role models. Through financial support, changes in cultural norms, provision of role models, and offering academic and life skills support, Vidya Shakti aims to create sustainable interventions that empower these young girls and enhance their access to education.
About the Millennium Fellow
Rahul Kumar Meena is a law student from National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi. He is very deviated towards working on the social causes. He have worked on various social projects in Human Rights and Legal Aid programs.
