Millennium Fellowship Project: ReducePlast
The ReducePlast project, led by Anoosha Ahmed, M. Asim Siddiqui, and Syed Aizaz Ali, stands as a beacon of transformative change within the campus community. It effectively raising awareness on plastic consumption and its implications among the masses. ReducePlast aims for ambitious strides, including efficient plastic disposal and collection, collaboration with industry partners for plastic repurposing, and exploration of plastic degradation strategies. It is not only a catalyst for change but also a hub for cutting-edge research, delving into cleaner waste-derived fuel and innovative approaches to address plastic pollution. As Anoosha Ahmed, M. Asim Siddiqui, and Syed Aizaz Ali guide ReducePlast into the future, their commitment to meaningful change underscores a holistic approach encompassing awareness, recycling, and pioneering research for a greener, safer, and more sustainable Earth.
About the Millennium Fellow
Anoosha Ahmed is an Applied Biosciences student at ASAB, NUST. She thrives on bringing a positive change in her community and playing her part to make this world a better place to live. Leadership and problem solving skills are her forte. She has worked in several environments where she has led groups of people under her dynamic leadership. According to her, climate change is a major concern of our time and if not tackled properly, we will have to face the music in the near future. Her main emphasis is on sustainability and climate action. In her free time, she likes to read books and articles and has a profound interest in writing.
