Millennium Fellowship Project: EduChange
The project involves conducting workshops and seminars to raise awareness about the negative impact of rote learning and proposing strategies for improvement. It also includes establishing career counseling centers in colleges to provide guidance and support to students. Additionally, the project aims to develop and submit a proposal for a national education policy and raise funds for an independent body to monitor and evaluate policy implementation.
About the Millennium Fellow
Waleed Ahmed is a changemaker from Pakistan who is passionate about revolutionizing education. He envisions a future where every student has access to quality learning and guidance. Currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering at the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Waleed is driven to transform the educational landscape in his country. Through his project "EduChange: Revolutionizing Education in Pakistan," he aims to tackle rote learning, outdated curriculum, and career counseling gaps. As a Millennium Fellow for the Class of 2023, Waleed's vision and leadership stand poised to make a tangible impact on education quality and accessibility
