Millennium Fellowship Project: SDGs Awareness Week
SDGs Awareness Week is a project of Fellows in Cohort A of Obafemi Awolowo University that addresses the low level of awareness about Sustainable Development Goals on the Campus and Ile-Ife in general. The project aims to engage undergraduates on Campus and Secondary school students on conversations and discussion to enlighten them to see their place in meeting the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals by the year 2030. Our strategies include Campus awareness rally, Secondary school sensitization, Webinar and Market Medical Outreach.
The goals of the project include
-To stimulate the interest of undergraduates on OAU Campus in social impact work
-To enlighten the Secondary school students on SDGs
- To aid quality education through distribution of learning materials to secondary school students
-To increase knowledge of and enrollment in Millennium Fellowship on our Campus especially outside of College of Health Sciences
- To promote good health and wellness of resident of Ile-Ife through a Market Medical Outreach.
About the Millennium Fellow
Faith Oluwasefunmi ORILABAWAYE is a Zoology student at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. Faith is passionate about how children can have an impact in the world by helping them see that they can achieve whatever, if they can believe in themselves. Through her project, she hopes to help the region to create opportunities for the girl child to be educated. After graduating, she hopes to build a career in cyber security, and help the girl child of the rural community understand the power of technology.
