Millennium Fellowship Project: Arise Youth × Logos Outreach.
Arise is a program that seeks to devolop young people ( students in Secondary schools)
1) To be actively involved in their education.
I have chosen this because I have seen the Lack of enthusiasm and innovation attached with the education most students receive in most parts of my country.
Most students just go down the conventional path of "..graduate high school => ..get into college/University and study a course (whether it is one they like or not) => ... graduate and then hunt for jobs that don't exist.
I've also witnessed what true education feels like, and it's result on the individual and the society at large.
These desires is what has birthed Arise, a program that seeks to provide inclusive education that lays the ground for innovation in young people.
2) To Promote Leadership and accountability among Young People.
The program has also been structured in such a way that it's backbone is in the students themselves. The program involves students, not just taking charge of their own education and intellectual development, but also inspiring other students around them to do the same.
About the Millennium Fellow
James Olatunbosun Oluwapelumi is an ambitious student of the Obafemi Awolowo University.
He is the founder of Arise Foundation, a program that seeks to empower young people to take charge of their education and personal development so they can live a life of impact in today's world.
Designated Emerging technologist by MCN for the year 2023, James is committed to using technology to the benefit of humanity.
He currently has a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Nanotechnology and is exploring its applicantions in the Energy industry and Household waste management.
