Haven spent over twenty years of my life in this country.Seeing how health issues are
been taken care of, starting from the individual to the hospital, this cannot to
spokenoff .Hence my keen interest in this SDG 3 goal. Also there exist prevalent
disease in the country, such that the citizen should be enlightened.For example; about
seventy percent of Nigerian are not aware that HIV prophylaxis exist which can used
within 72 hours of exposure.
Moreso, the advent of health insurance scheme such as AXA maxard.These insurance
are opened to Nigerians when a stipulated fee paid monthly which gives access to free
health at any approved hospital.The fear of the unknown has done more harm.As they
feel that the orthodox clinic have exorbitant service charger when compared to
others.Mental health has been an aspect of wellbeing that is so much neglected.The
word healthy living is a holistic.The project is targeted at bringing a facilitator who has
seasoned experience in this area.In last two years, people who has died from
depression is on an increase.Most Nigerians needs to understand the fact going to
meet a psychologist is needful and people who visit them should not be stigmatized.
I plan on bringing professional closer to the people through this project ,I plan on
bringing about three different facilitator on board, mental health, living a healthy living
through having a balance diet and on exercise and wellbeing.This would bridge the gap of inaccessibility while canceling the notion that their services are expensive.
Free health check up would include Blood pressure ,sugar level,body weight and so
on.It would just run for about six hours on a Saturday for people in the environment
.This would serve as avenue to refer and give advice where necessary.
We plan on reaching to schools,least we forget that a child health is so beneficial to
the nation at large.This SDG goal comprising others SDG 6,14,11 and anyone can
heathy when given the right information
