Millennium Fellowship Project: SDGs Awareness Week

SDGs Awareness Week is a project of Fellows in Cohort A of Obafemi Awolowo University that addresses the low level of awareness about Sustainable Development Goals on the Campus and Ile-Ife in general. The project aims to engage undergraduates on Campus and Secondary school students on conversations and discussion to enlighten them to see their place in meeting the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals by the year 2030. Our strategies include Campus awareness rally, Secondary school sensitization, Webinar and Market Medical Outreach.
The goals of the project include
-To stimulate the interest of undergraduates on OAU Campus in social impact work
-To enlighten the Secondary school students on SDGs
- To aid quality education through distribution of learning materials to secondary school students
-To increase knowledge of and enrollment in Millennium Fellowship on our Campus especially outside of College of Health Sciences
- To promote good health and wellness of resident of Ile-Ife through a Market Medical Outreach.

About the Millennium Fellow

Vivian Oyedapo Oyinkansola is a part 5 student of the Faculty of Dentistry Obafemi Awolowo University Nigeria Osun state Ile-Ife.

She's passionate about community dentistry and involved in taking dentistry to remote areas near her where basic dental health facilities or professionals are inaccessible or inadequate.

Through her project she intends to reach to people especially children in these communities to supply them with daily dental needs and also with treatment to reduce dental morbidity rate in these rural communities.

After graduating she plans to take on more projects on bigger platforms, reach out to big firms and corporations to get funding for her projects and further her education by getting a master's degree abroad so she can learn more and better , be exposed to newer technologies and bring it back to her home country Nigeria to give back to her community.
