Millennium Fellowship Project: SDGs Awareness Week

SDGs Awareness Week is a project of Fellows in Cohort A of Obafemi Awolowo University that addresses the low level of awareness about Sustainable Development Goals on the Campus and Ile-Ife in general. The project aims to engage undergraduates on Campus and Secondary school students on conversations and discussion to enlighten them to see their place in meeting the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals by the year 2030. Our strategies include Campus awareness rally, Secondary school sensitization, Webinar and Market Medical Outreach.
The goals of the project include
-To stimulate the interest of undergraduates on OAU Campus in social impact work
-To enlighten the Secondary school students on SDGs
- To aid quality education through distribution of learning materials to secondary school students
-To increase knowledge of and enrollment in Millennium Fellowship on our Campus especially outside of College of Health Sciences
- To promote good health and wellness of resident of Ile-Ife through a Market Medical Outreach.

About the Millennium Fellow

Zainab Adewale is a student of English and Literary Studies at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun, Nigeria. Driven by the belief in education's transformative power, Zainab is dedicated to providing quality learning in marginalized communities. Guided by growing up in a marginalized community, she aim to break barriers through education, and through her project, she plans to foster a supportive environment and collaborate with sustainable educational initiatives where individuals can gain skills and knowledge regardless of their background.
