Millennium Fellowship Project: Rethinking International Political Economy: Cementing Resilient Governance in a Fragmented World Order

Today, we find ourselves in an increasingly fragile, volatile, and most importantly chaotic world. One that has evolved from complex interactions of ecosystems. Interactions that can only be understood by post-structural, post-human, post-modern interpretations that are empirical in nature and scientific in methodology. My project was a research paper that aimed to produce a policy proposal to systematically overhaul governance and international political economy, to allow for expansion in potential, scope, and functionality of multilateral mechanics and organs such as the U.N. system, building a resilient systems architecture for states in the fragmented world order.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ojus Sharma is a final year undergraduate student at the Jindal School of International Affairs, O.P. Jindal Global University. Ojus is passionate about the impact of macro-level trade policy on individual lives, and shaping the global political economy. As a student of international relations, he focuses on the UN system, analysing it's mandate and potential for expansion. In his project he attempts to research capacity building measures, allowing for immunity to the changing world order dynamics for international development. After he graduates, he plans to earn a master's degree in public policy/public administration, specialising in international political economy.
