Millennium Fellowship Project: Cocouel
For the "Cocouel", we will be using the waste cooking oil generated from the food industry, performing certain operations (chemical reactions) on it, and converting it into biofuel (biodiesel), having same calorific value as diesel oil. For this purpose, different tests were done and different observations were made, based upon which the blending ratios were decided. This will tend to reduce the pollution by reusing the cooking oil, and will lead to the development of sustainable environment.
Another project I am planning to work is the "Dual Way Heater", for that an highly absorptive surface will be planned for the upper coating which will absorb the solar radiation and utilize that energy for heating the water, and if more high temperature is desired, then it will also utilize some part of the electrical energy and in this way it will work on both the solar as well as electrical energy (if needed) but major portion of its application will be covered by the natural renewable energy.
About the Millennium Fellow
My name is Aoha Roohi Amin and I belong to Peshawar, Pakistan, which is known as Pathan region. I have done my matriculation from WMSC, Peshawar, with A grade, while my Intermediate education is from PMDC, Peshawar, in Pre-Engineering Group, where I stood third in BISEP. Currently, I am student of 6th Semester, BE Chemical Engineering at PAF-IAST, Haripur with CGPA 3.95. I had always been a scholarship holder.
Here, I feel important to mention that I belong to the region where female education is not considered important, but due to never ending support of my parents, I am the first one in my family to study at this level in co-educational institute.
