Millennium Fellowship Project: Cocouel
Cocouel is a startup focusing on converting waste coconut oil from the food industry into biodiesel. The startup takes waste coconut oil from the food industry and converts it to biodiesel. The process involves refining the waste coconut oil, melting it and removing impurities, transesterification at optimized conditions, and then purification and refining of the product.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sajawal Ahmed is a passionate student studying Chemical and Energy Engineering at Pak Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Science and Technology Haripur, Pakistan. As a Fachhochschule student he has a strong theoretical background backed up by adequate practical experience. Despite his major in Chemical Engineering he has interest in environmental science and engineering. He is also a climate change enthusiast working his best to tackle some of the common problems in his community causing climate change. He also like to extend his knowledge and connect with like minded people through various platforms like LinkedIn, Coursera, Millennium Fellowship, and Aspire Leadership Program etc.
