Millennium Fellowship Project: Free Food at Pace
My project is working to provide a notification system announcing the availability of leftover foods from organized events hosted on Pace's NYC campus. The goal is to reduce food waste and food insecurity by reallocating pre-existing resources to those in need. We also want to encourage engagement and build community through a safe space of providing food.
About the Millennium Fellow
Madelyn Vallillo is an aspiring global leader who is committed to reducing food insecurity within her community in Lower Manhattan. She studies advertising and integrated marketing with a non-profit studies minor at Pace University. She is ambitious, hardworking, and creative and hopes to produce a creative documentary for her Millennium Fellowship project as well. She has previously enjoyed working for the Trade Commission of Peru in NYC and looks forward to the projects she will develop for future NGOs. She is a natural leader who strives to learn and is excited to contribute to the United Nation’s sustainable development goals this semester.
