Millennium Fellowship Project: Battling Mental Health Stigma Through Education
Ongoing research and education sessions in collaboration with national mental health coalition, RADical Hope Foundation, to allow for a safe place for students to talk to others about their mental health. Duties included creating and facilitating a Social Justice Week presentation focusing on educating people on mental health in college students and minority groups. It helped kickstart the campuses' new and upcoming Wellness Center, headed by Dr. Maxam, our campus liaison and I even got mental health resources added to course syllabi, known as 'equity-based syllabi' that is now recommended for all faculty to use.
