Millennium Fellowship Project: Suman

We tried to touchdown the most important block of the society, the underprivileged children. We interacted with a lot of children on roadsides, slums, schools and elsewhere. We made them aware of their rights under the schemes of the government and so on. An aware person is better equipped to assess his/her situations and tobetter them. Moreover, we worked on this aspect to strengthen the trust of our future generation in State and democracy. It also helped in playing role of point of contact between schemes and beneficiaries.

About the Millennium Fellow

Divya Tiwari is a student of law at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law. An interdisciplinary study of Law and Sociology has given her progressive perspective that she wishes to realise in the society. To this end, she has been vigorously pursuing research projects, seminars, field visits to meet underprivileged children and bring them to the scope of formal education system. She believes that rights platform to harness the inherent potential of every child is school. Therefore, the primary task of developmental policies stand at covering the unguarded poor children.
