Millennium Fellowship Project: Ankuram

Phase 1: Research and Targeting should give students the freedom to select the subject of their choosing. Once you've identified which schools are in need of resources, you may concentrate your efforts there by organising an online or offline poll to close the gap.
Phase 2: Work with local NGOs. This includes collaborating with Nonprofits with related goals, continuing to engage with PMKVY, and supporting the Make in India and Skill India missions. The goal is to support the acquisition of vocational and self-employment skills.
Phase 3: Visits and vocational training- Find poor schools and students who are eager to pick up practical skills that can also be applied to the world of work, such as IT training, email drafting, sewing, etc., according to their ages.
Phase 4: Hold seminars and workshops to inform those in need about their fundamental rights in relation to their problems. Teachers might also use webinars and seminars to increase understanding of the policy.
Phase 5: Report to and work with the Ministry of Education
To demonstrate our efforts towards the implementation of NEP, we would provide the education ministry with the results of numerous research and assessment projects.
Phase 6: Evaluation – We would then wrap up our study and evaluate its success by conducting another survey within the same sample area to determine if the results had changed.
Phase 7: Creating a new educational model, which includes creating a curriculum that emphasises all skills.

About the Millennium Fellow

Krati Walyan is a second year law student at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. She believes that with the help of education, almost everything can be changed. As she comes from a background where there is not much resources for a family and they send their child to factories to earn money at the age of 12, she wants to work in that field where children can finish their education and can build their future.
