Millennium Fellowship Project: Ankuram
“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” This famous saying aptly captures the essence of our project:
Phase 1: Research and Targeting- We will study numerous schools in Lucknow to determine the state of actual implementation of NEP's primary goals, such as the availability of topic alternatives, bagless vocational training days, and other means to achieve them. We will then focus on schools with the fewest resources or implementation techniques in order to carry out our strategy.
Phase 2: Collaborate with local NGOs- Joining forces and pooling resources with NGOs working on providing education and self-employment skills and bodies formed under PMKVY may further help.
Phase 3: Visits and vocational exercises- Our team intends to visit underprivileged government and private schools to educate them critical skills for economic gain when they mature.
Phase 4: Hold seminars and workshops- As law students, we are able to legally educate students and instructors on key rights suited to their individual requirements based on the survey results. Our knowledgeable instructors can also share awareness through webinars and seminars.
Phase 5: Report to and work with the Ministry of Education- We anticipate that the government will join us in the effective completion of the project, lending resources and advice in seminars and training as it focuses on the necessary implementation of the NEP.
Phase 6: Developing a modern education model- including devising a skill-inclusive curriculum.
Step 7: Evaluation- We would end our project and analyse its performance by performing the survey throughout the same sample space to determine whether the previous one's results had changed.
The project will yield positive changes even if there is no direct systemic change, as students will learn about options outside the marker-drawn line.
