Millennium Fellowship Project: Close the Gap Website: how to adress gender inequality pay in Salisbury, MD
I have created a website targeted toward people living in and around Salisbury, MD who want to create and become involved in creating social change within female inequality pay but are not sure where to start. My website gives an overview of the ongoing pay discrimination issue, local organizations, and organizations from more "hotspot" cities like Baltimore and Annapolis, as well as options for questions and feedback.
About the Millennium Fellow
Maia Burger is a junior at Salisbury University pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Biomedical Sciences. As a woman in STEM, she recognizes the disparity amongst gender pay, and hopes to bring light of its relevance to other females and the impact to career fields at large.
She believes in equality and female empowerment, and hopes as a Millennium Fellow and with this effort of highlighting the compensation gender difference for the same occupation, more women will be will in inspired to unite to initiate action for change.
