Millennium Fellowship Project: Laqthaq

Laqthaq, our startup, is dedicated to promoting financial empowerment for women in Gilgit Baltistan, with a specific focus on SDG #5, gender equality. Serving as an e-commerce platform, Laqthaq connects women in GB to both national and international markets.

In the context of the Millennium Fellowship program, our project aligns with SDG 5– Reduced gender Inequalities. By fostering economic opportunities for women in a region like Gilgit Baltistan, we contribute to reducing inequalities, as SDG 5 emphasizes the need to ensure equal opportunity and reduce disparities. Laqthaq's mission of financial empowerment directly addresses this goal by creating a platform that enables women to access and participate in economic activities, thereby contributing to a more inclusive and equitable society.
