Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Zuri: Enactus
Project ReFiber is an extension of the successful Project Zuri, which involves creating scented candles and planters from discarded coconut shells and providing. Building upon the foundation of Project Zuri, ReFiber aims to further expand the product line by utilizing textile waste from manufacturers, locals, and fashion brands. This initiative focuses on producing upcycled rugs, mats, bags, and other products from the sourced textile waste and providing primary income to underprivileged people through our projects.
Measurable Goals for August-December 2023:
1) Product Diversification for Project Zuri:
- Launch at least 1 new product under Project Zuri increasing the product line's appeal.
- Attain a 30% increase in sales compared to the previous quarter
- Find a new NGO partner
2) Project ReFiber Blueprint:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential sources of textile waste, assess demand for upcycled textile products, and understand customer preferences.
- Develop a detailed project plan that outlines the production process, resource requirements, cost projections, and expected timeline for creating upcycled rugs, mats, bags, etc.
- Create a prototype of at least one upcycled textile product and gather feedback to fine-tune the design and manufacturing approach.
By achieving these goals, we aim to solidify Project Zuri's presence in the market while setting a strong foundation for the expansion into the innovative realm of Project ReFiber.
