Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Sahaay

Project Sahaay, advocates health equity for blue-collar workers, furthering the Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. It is Sahaay's mission to start conversations about unheard aspects of gauranteeing good health and well-being of blue-collar workers, be it spreading awareness about the welfare schemes furthered by the government for their benefit or sharing crucial information about less talked about diseases like breast cancer, diabetes and men's mental healthamong the community members. It is only when one is empowered with the knowledge of the perils and solutions that exist, that one can take actions to achieve the desired outcome. It is Sahaay which is determined to spread awareness about the health welfare schemes, medical rights and health challenges, the blue-collar community needs to be aware of so they become empowered in achieveing their rightly deserved good health and well-being

About the Millennium Fellow

Vanshika Verma, pursuing a BA LLB degree at Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, holds a steadfast belief in the solemn duty of every educated individual to address societal injustices. Her passion for effecting positive change is deeply rooted in this conviction. Observing the challenges faced by those in need, her involvement in Model United Nations (MUN) activities has reinforced the significance of inclusivity. Vanshika's dedication to providing a platform for marginalized voices aligns perfectly with the mission of the UN Millennium Fellowship. Her commitment to translating aspirations into meaningful actions sets her apart as a promising candidate determined to make a difference.
