Millennium Fellowship Project: FoodBridge:Connecting Resources to Alleviate Insecurity
The proposed project, titled the Community Food Redistribution Initiative, aims to address the critical issue of surplus food from restaurants and the nutritional needs of impoverished communities. The project envisions installing LED boards strategically in areas with high poverty rates to facilitate seamless communication between restaurants with excess cooked food and the communities in need. Key components include the development of an efficient communication system, forging partnerships with willing restaurants, and ensuring equitable food distribution. The project's milestones encompass thorough research, system development, implementation, and monitoring phases, with a focus on assessing the impact on reducing food wastage and alleviating hunger.
