Millennium Fellowship Project: Books for a Better Tomorrow
My research-based project is about spreading awareness about the lack of representation for BIPOC (black indigenous people of color) in the US school curriculum, specifically within secondary education, and other forms of media. I researched many scholarly articles about the statistics of lack of representation among BIPOC, as well as the significance of incorporating culturally responsive materials within the US education system. My product is a website that also includes highly recommended BIPOC books for people to access and gain more knowledge about other racial groups.
