Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Developement in the Fashion Industry
This project is about all aspects of sustainable development in the fashion industry.
From holding brands accountable for using sustianable materials to reducing CO2
emissions to the ethical treatment of workers, this project will be all about actively
creating solutions towards SGDs. The project will focus on two main goals: 1.
educating people about the flaws and misconceptions about sustainably
shopping/consuming and 2. creating solutions and potentially policy changes that
brands and companies have to incorportate as part of their futures.
About the Millennium Fellow
Lara Prakash is currently studying international economics and political science in a dual bachelor's degree program between SciencesPo Paris and Columbia University. She hopes to pursue a career at the intersection of corporate retail, fashion, and sustainable development. She currently serves on the board of Science Po Paris, Menton's branch of the Global Research and Consulting Group, fostering the relationship between student consultants and organizations with various social impact goals. Passionate about learning about diverse cultures, she loves to travel and learn new languages.
