Millennium Fellowship Project: Fierce Hearts & Fearless Minds

Focal SDGs: SDG 5: Gender Equality
Gender inequality and feminism are critical issues in India that need immediate attention.
As leaders and advocates of change, our project aims to raise awareness about gender inequality in India and shift people's thinking towards creating a more intersectional and equal society. The project will focus on various aspects such as education, women's
safety, and domestic violence. Domestic abuse and violence are highly prevalent in India, and women often fear speaking out due to the fear of facing more abuse as a counter-effect. The project aims to create a safe environment for women to report cases of violence. To spread awareness, we plan to conduct workshops and seminars in different colleges and collaborate with think tanks and NGOs to organize panel discussions.
It is high time that gender equality is viewed as a social issue rather than just a women's issue, and that sums up the motive of this entire project. Together, we can create a society where women are treated equally and with respect.
