Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Triad - Unified People, Ideologies & Ecologies

Spearheaded by Lalnundika Darlong, Mahesh Chandra, and Shaan Ayub, the Triad - Unified People, Ideologies & Ecologies is a dynamic team of change-makers supported by a committed group of 20+ team members. The mission shall encompass SDGs 3, 13, and 14, with the strategic approach outlined below:

1. SDG 3: Elevating Mental Health

- Research Phase:

Analyze insights from 30 pertinent research papers on college student mental health.
Formulate a focused 20-question survey addressing mental health challenges and coping mechanisms.
Garner responses from 1500+ college students through online platforms and campus channels.
Unearth trends from survey data and visually represent key findings.
Compile a concise 5-10 page research report, spotlighting discoveries & actionable suggestions.

- Community Engagement Phase:

Distribute 800+ handwritten gratitude notes, fostering positivity within our academic community.
Conduct 120+ inter/intra-college interviews exploring the impact of gratitude on mental well-being.

2. SDG 13: Empowering Climate Awareness

- Research & Data Gathering:

Identify local climate change effects, amassing data from reputable sources.
Craft an accessible Climate Impact Awareness Database (CIAD).
Condense impact information into succinct summaries accompanied by visuals.

- Project Execution:

Delve into specific climate impact areas through focused research.
Bring the CIAD to life, creating a platform to educate the public about local climate impacts with an expected reach of 15,000 people.

3. SDG 14: Marine Ecosystem Enhancement

- Research & Preparation:

Identify high-pollution underwater sites and prevalent waterborne diseases.
Evaluate water quality, biodiversity, and pollution levels to guide action.
Strategize the execution of underwater clean-up endeavours.
Host workshops and share informative materials, promoting marine health awareness.


- Data Analysis & Impact:

Analyze collected waste and track shifts in waterborne disease prevalence.

About the Millennium Fellow

Mahesh Chandra is a dedicated student currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Commerce Honours (B.Com.(Hons.)) at Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. Hailing from Delhi, Mahesh has consistently held a strong passion for both climate change and mental health. His aspirations extend beyond the classroom, as he aims to leverage his education to make a meaningful impact through a focused project. Post-graduation, Mahesh aims to blend his commerce background with a corporate career while actively contributing to advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
