Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Dhara

Project Dhara is an individual lead project. This project focuses on SDG-11- Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG-13- Climate Action and SDG-15 Life on land. Main aim of this Project is to create awareness amongst people about climatic hazards due to Climate Change and ways to Community adaptability. Apart from this, Project dhara also aims to provide insights into the various important events in the world corresponding to its goal of outreach program for climate change and sustainable development goals through social media platforms. I'm addressing this community issue through social media by awareing people through posts about SDG's concerned with this issue. This project is to make people aware of different practices and government initiatives to overcome these persisting issues through other online platforms.

About the Millennium Fellow

Poonam is a young, optimistic undergraduate student, who is currently pursuing Bachelors of Arts, Geography Honours from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi, India. She was born in Rajasthan, India and brought up in Punjab, India. She is ambitious, hard-working, extrovert and resouceful changemaker who passionately wants to contributes for SDG 3; Good Health and Well-being, SDG 11; Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 13; Climate Action. She has always been passionate about working on environmental concerns and believes that contributing to achieve SDGs is the best step forward to mitigate the environmental issues.
