Millennium Fellowship Project: SustainX
Transgenders are deprived of the right to participate in any form of economic activity in the country, with even qualified ones refused jobs. Aiming to end this stigma and expand employment opportunities, we started our journey called SustainX. Started as a series of need assessment surveys and campaigns like free hugs, SustainX aims to create safe and inclusive employment opportunities for the members of the Transgender community by setting up parlours entirely run and
operated by them. SustainX works towards the upliftment and betterment of the
transgender community. We do so by socially and economically improving their living standards by building inclusive workplaces that provide entrepreneurial experience
and job opportunities to the community.
