Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Vriksh

Intending to build a sustainable community, I started this project named “Vriksh” (Trees) which emphasizes the potential benefits of tree plantation in India. I had concerns about shortcomings in the current system and the necessity to enhance the preservation of the trees which led to the development of this project. I want to make sure that tree plantations are being implemented in the right way as they contribute to the economy and global environment. My project explores the role of NGOs and privatization in this sector. Even though it may seem expensive in the short run, my research proves how in the long run it is much more beneficial to include private entities than proceeding with government-led projects.
