Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Sudha Amrit

Breastfeeding is the best method for infants as human milk uniquely suits their needs. In our country, 20% of hospitals face the challenge of low birth weight babies, leading to significant risks. Feeding these babies with breast milk significantly reduces infection risks. Human Milk Banks are key in supplying donor milk to high-risk newborns admitted to neonatal units.

Project Sudha Amrit aims to focus on assessing the need for Human Milk Donation banks in New Delhi to decrease the Infant Mortality Rate in various regions around the city soon.
