Millennium Fellowship Project: The girl child education: Girls in STEM
My project was on the girl child education: girls in STEM project at Bussie in the Upper West Region of Ghana. A barrier of 15 to 20 years of not a single girl graduating from basic school being placed to pursue a career in STEM was broken. Through stakeholder engagements, community outreach, partnerships, sensitization campaigns and quize competition, the goal this project was partially achieved
About the Millennium Fellow
Muniru Abdul Na-eem is a bright, and passionate young energetic globally competitive political science education and geography student at the University of Education, Winneba. He was born in Ghana, resides in the Upper West Region, Wa, and is currently studying in Winneba, Central Region of Ghana; truly a citizen of the world. For as long as he could remember, Abdul Na-eem has been passionate about giving back to society with his advocacies and projects on social justice, mental health, education, climate change and gender equality. This drive and ardor translated itself from Abdul Na-eem's experiences in the international community and his continuous dedication to social action. Throughout his high school years and currently in his university years, he has successfully organized various philanthropic projects and social justice movements; which through his outstanding leadership, he plans to continue in the future. Abdul Na-eem aspires to be in a professional field where he can cultivate these advocacies further, and provide his own contribution in the development of the United Nation's Sustainable Goals.
