Millennium Fellowship Project: We Are The Change

This project "We Are The Change" aims at giving sexual education to adolescents on sexually transmitted infections, to promote the girl child education, fighting violence against women and reducing maternal mortality through education. We are interested in building a community void of violence against women, reducing the spread of STDs in my community and helping adolescent with their sexual related issues and promoting girl child education and reducing early child marriages.

About the Millennium Fellow

I am Afoakwa Daniel, a third year student at the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho,Ghana. I am reading Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I aspire to bring the change my community has longed for, in the face of reducing or possibly eradicating poverty in line with the Sustainable Development Goal through capacity building with education, either formal or informal. The issues of streetism can not be over looked in the combat against poverty. In this view, I stand to reduce the level of streetism in my community by providing affordable accommodation, skills training and education to the street child. This will serve as a tool to reducing poverty in my community and in the world at large.
