Millennium Fellowship Project: ZooImpact(Effect of zoonoses in the society)

This project is intended to create awareness about zoonotic disease and enlighten the general public about the effect of zoonotic diseases, how it can be reduced and ways to reduce the spread of zoonotic diseases.
Zoonotic diseases are diseases that can be transmitted from animals to human and from human to animals through direct contact with infected individual or through the environment.
This project intends to make the general public know the how zoonotic diseases can be transmitted between individuals, things to be done such as reducing the extent of invading the natural habitat of wild animals which increases chance of contact between human and animals increasing the risk of transmission of zoonotic diseases.
Also, proper examination of food animals such as cattle, pigs, poultry birds before slaughter and distribution into the general public for any disease to prevent the spread of such disease to the general public by consumption of these animals and their byproducts.
In summary, this is a project that will help and maintain the health status of human as well as that of animals.

About the Millennium Fellow

Goodness Ayorinde, a driven and compassionate youth hailing from Nigeria, is dedicated to pursuing a career as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in the College of Veterinary Medicine, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.With a strong commitment to animal welfare and health of the general public, Goodness aspires to make a positive impact in the field.

Not only is Goodness focused on their studies, but he has also actively participated in his college community. Serving as a valuable member of the electoral committee for the Association of Veterinary Medical Student Independent Electoral Committee(AVMSIEC FUNAAB), Goodness has demonstrated excellent leadership and organizational skills.

Recognized for their exceptional qualities, Goodness has been honored as a scholar of the Junior Chamber International Muyiwa Bamgbose Academy. This recognition highlights their outstanding achievements and potential for future success.
