Millennium Fellowship Project: Restore The Earth project (RETEP)

Restore The Earth Projects RETEP;
Aims at promoting eco-friendly Environment for residents of rural communities in the Niger-Delta region of Nigeria.
Through restore the Earth project I have been able to impact over 45 school children with basic Environmental management ethics.Through this project I have been able create a road entrance at a popular market called Creek-road that over 2years was barricaded.

About the Millennium Fellow

Vika Baribor promise has been focused on using education and sensitization as a vaccine to tackle climate change and environmental pollution in Ogoni land. In the last five years, I have advocated for local villages facing the negative impacts of environmental degradations as a result of oil spillage in Ogoni land through my work as co-founder of ecocycle limited and as an intern student at hydrocarbon pollution remediation project(HYPREP), I have created a platform for indigenous of ogoni land to air out their views and concern and fight for their environmental rights. Having worked in the past my work has been recognized internationally,I was awarded goodwill ambassador for the climate change in Africa by meta for community development in (February 2023) I was also Awarded A Humanitarian Award in 2022 By IdealMe Enrichment Foundation A National merit Award.My motivation to work in the environmental field came a result of my burning passion towards the plight of my people the (OGONI’s) whom has been marginalized yet they faced drastic effects of this pollution, this has been a driving force behind my Passion to study Environmental Resource management in federal university of calabar NIGERIA.
