Millennium Fellowship Project: Beyond The Book

With The Library Project, our goal is to donate books to school libraries and raise awareness about the significance of libraries. Through our awareness campaign, we aim to increase the usage of the library by students by December. For the duration of the project, we will concentrate our efforts on one school, allowing us to establish achievable benchmarks for our progress. In time, I hope to extend it's reach throughout the state and extensively, the country.

About the Millennium Fellow

Abraham Umoru, a medical student at the esteemed University of Jos, possesses a deep passion for ensuring accessible education for all, aligning with the UN SDG4. Both individually and within groups, he remains committed to the continuous process of learning, unlearning, and relearning, all geared towards creating a more equitable society. Based in the serene town of Jos, his current project is centered around raising awareness among young individuals about the crucial role of libraries in fostering effective education. While situated in this chilly locale, Abraham's aspirations extend to making a positive impact on society within his reach. Looking ahead, he contemplates various paths to take post-MBBS, his ultimate direction yet to be determined.
