Millennium Fellowship Project: MED-AWARE

The MED-AWARE project as the name implies was centered at raising awareness. This edition we were specific to hepatitis B virus awareness and screening test for students and staff of Government secondary school Township Jos. As a team, we embarked on social media awareness, class to class awareness and finally the visit to the secondary school where we carried out sensitization on Viral Hepatitis specifically HVB and carried out free screening exercise for the staff and senior students

About the Millennium Fellow

Azemeson Eada Hyelsinta is a student of pharmacy with the University of Jos, in Plateau State Nigeria. Eada is passionate about nature and the effect it has on all spheres of life. As someone who has interacted with rural and suburban communities, he has first hand come in contact with desertification and has seen the negative impact it has on livelihoods. Through his project he hopes to sensitize, educate and encourage the planting of trees and the reduction in the felling of trees in those communities. In subsequent years, Eada plans to advocate the usage of more crude drugs in the prevention, treatment, and cure of illnesses.
