Millennium Fellowship Project: MED-AWARE

The MED-AWARE project as the name implies was centered at raising awareness. This edition we were specific to hepatitis B virus awareness and screening test for students and staff of Government secondary school Township Jos. As a team, we embarked on social media awareness, class to class awareness and finally the visit to the secondary school where we carried out sensitization on Viral Hepatitis specifically HVB and carried out free screening exercise for the staff and senior students

About the Millennium Fellow

Gift Omogah, is a medical student at the University of Jos, Plateau state Nigeria. She's purpose driven and passionate about social impact through transformative leadership.
In her pursuit in contributing to global wellbeing , she's driven towards implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 3(SDG 3) - "Good Health and Well being".
She believes that access to proper and quality healthcare is a fundamental right accessible to all and should not be infringed upon, irrespective of location or background.
By working towards SDG 3, she seems to make a significant impact on individuals and societies by addressing health discrepancies and ultimately improving the quality of life for individuals and communities.
