Millennium Fellowship Project: MED-AWARE

The MED-AWARE project as the name implies was centered at raising awareness. This edition we were specific to hepatitis B virus awareness and screening test for students and staff of Government secondary school Township Jos. As a team, we embarked on social media awareness, class to class awareness and finally the visit to the secondary school where we carried out sensitization on Viral Hepatitis specifically HVB and carried out free screening exercise for the staff and senior students

About the Millennium Fellow

NJOKU Ifeanyi Joshua is a Christian from Imo state, Nigeria. He went to school in Jos, Plateau State, where he held leadership roles like Library Prefect and Student Council member. He also had various leadership positions in his school's clubs and organizations. Now, he's a medical student at the University of Jos. Despite the rigorous coursework, he does things he cares about, like volunteering with NGOs. He really cares about making the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) happen, especially because he's seen how not taking mental health seriously affects his community.
