Millennium Fellowship Project: Zero Hunger: Almajiri NourishHope Initiative (ANI)

Addressing a pressing issue that demands our collective attention and empathy – the unbearable suffering faced by some children called the Almajiri here in the Northern Nigeria.
My millennium Fellowship project is titled "ZERO HUNGER" and the above reason inspired me to bring about an initaitive I call 'ANI' meaning; Almajiri NourishHope Initiative with a slogan:-"Seeds of hope: Nourishing Almajiri Futures. Although humanitarianism had always been a passion for me, I want to use these opportunity to appreciate the Millennium fellowship for such big opportunity to explore my dreams.
The word 'Almajiri' is coined from an Arabic word; I.e 'Al-muhajirun': Meaning emigrants.
The Almajiri system which is a practice, originated as a means of religious education for children in the Northern Nigeria, has been tragically transformed into a circle of poverty, illitracy and neglect to this children.
These children roam the streets, begging door to door, with NO access to proper nutrition, intellect or good health.
The "Almajiri Nourish Hope Initiative" is a vital program aimed at addressing the dire situation of Almajiri children in Nigeria particularly within my community where it's been practiced . These initiative focus on providing these marginalized children with access to essential services such as nutrition, education, and healthcare.
By nourishing their hopes, we can work to break the cycle of suffering and offering these vulnerable children the opportunity to live a more dignified life and be useful to their society.
