Millennium Fellowship Project: MED-AWARE
The MED-AWARE project as the name implies was centered at raising awareness. This edition we were specific to hepatitis B virus awareness and screening test for students and staff of Government secondary school Township Jos. As a team, we embarked on social media awareness, class to class awareness and finally the visit to the secondary school where we carried out sensitization on Viral Hepatitis specifically HVB and carried out free screening exercise for the staff and senior students
About the Millennium Fellow
Patrick Timothy is a young public health advocate who is passionate about raising awareness on individual and community levels on neglected tropical diseases. As a third year medical student in University of Jos, he has led many health awareness campaigns and outreaches in different communities in Jos - Plateau State.
He is a leader whos strength are impressive as his intellectual accomplishments.
He has demonstrated humility, empathy and holistic inclusion making sure no one is left behind in what he does.
