Millennium Fellowship Project: Tackling hypertension in my community
Tackling hypertension in my community' is a special health project that seeks to help reduce the prevalence of hypertension and prevent its deleterious health consequences in my community and its environ by organizing health campaigns and awareness creation, free blood pressure and blood glucose checks and distribution of drugs.
We will be organizing 5 health campaigns and 1 outreach which will reach 100 people altogether. We will also be raising $1000 to purchase 3 sphygmometers, anti-hypertensive drugs, also to pay for rentage and other expenses.
About the Millennium Fellow
Chinwendu Theresa Onwuka is a medical student at the University of Lagos College of Medicine, known for her dedication to her studies and community engagement. She is passionate about gaining knowledge and building meaningful connections. Motivated by a strong desire to make a difference in the healthcare sector, she has chosen the path of medicine and surgery. Post-graduation, she aspires to establish a Non-Governmental Organization aimed at addressing a Sustainable Development Goal.
