Millennium Fellowship Project: Tackling hypertension in my community
Tackling hypertension in my community' is a special health project that seeks to help reduce the prevalence of hypertension and prevent its deleterious health consequences in my community and its environ by organizing health campaigns and awareness creation, free blood pressure and blood glucose checks and distribution of drugs.
We will be organizing 5 health campaigns and 1 outreach which will reach 100 people altogether. We will also be raising $1000 to purchase 3 sphygmometers, anti-hypertensive drugs, also to pay for rentage and other expenses.
About the Millennium Fellow
Eric Bright is a sophomore medical student majoring in Pharmacology, toxicology and therapeutics in the University of Lagos Medical school, Idi-Araba, Nigeria.
Eric is passionate about the inclusiveness of youths and adults alike in community growth, health and sustainable societies.
As a medical student, he is much informed about the impact of healthy living and a thorough community service.
Moreover, Schooling in Lagos with lot or no value in a clean suistainable environment has sparked the enthusiasm of bringing about innovation and correcting this community err.
Upon Final year and graduation, Eric looks forward to ensuring these core values and even more.
He also plans on getting a masters on Health toxicology and Therapy
