Millennium Fellowship Project: Tackling hypertension in my community

Tackling hypertension in my community' is a special health project that seeks to help reduce the prevalence of hypertension and prevent its deleterious health consequences in my community and its environ by organizing health campaigns and awareness creation, free blood pressure and blood glucose checks and distribution of drugs.

We will be organizing 5 health campaigns and 1 outreach which will reach 100 people altogether. We will also be raising $1000 to purchase 3 sphygmometers, anti-hypertensive drugs, also to pay for rentage and other expenses.

About the Millennium Fellow

Joseph Odubona is a fourth year medical student at the University of Lagos, College of Medicine, who is passionate about promoting Sustainable Development Goal 3(SDG 3) in his local community. He advocates healthy living and creation of awareness on disease prevention as the most effective way of achieving good health and well being. Joseph hopes to further his social impact work beyond his local community after graduating from the University.
