Millennium Fellowship Project: Plastic Free SMBs
Our project “Plastic Free SMB’s” aimed at influencing the packaging of small businesses and reduction in the use of plastic straws in our school (Unilag). We spoke to the small businesses in our school, educated them on the dangers and need to reduce the number of plastic nylons used in packaging and the plastic straws used to sell drinks. Most of them were ignorant on the dangers it caused while some knew but expressed their concerns about the cost of a more sustainable means of packaging.
