Millennium Fellowship Project: Tackling hypertension in my community

Tackling hypertension in my community' is a special health project that seeks to help reduce the prevalence of hypertension and prevent its deleterious health consequences in my community and its environ by organizing health campaigns and awareness creation, free blood pressure and blood glucose checks and distribution of drugs.

We will be organizing 5 health campaigns and 1 outreach which will reach 100 people altogether. We will also be raising $1000 to purchase 3 sphygmometers, anti-hypertensive drugs, also to pay for rentage and other expenses.

About the Millennium Fellow

Oyindamola is currently a student at the University of Lagos, where she is majoring in medical laboratory science. She currently works as a volunteer advocate for out-of-school kids at the IA Foundation.

Education, integrity, faith, and personal growth are the core values of Oyindamola. She is a youthful, passionate change agent driving creative reforms for SDGs 3 and 4: quality education and good health, respectively. The SDGs are something she advocates.

She aspires to become a young African leader after graduation who will spearhead creative initiatives and benefit her community by instructing the next generation in the technology and fashion industries. Someone who will be remembered as a great leader by the next generation.
