Millennium Fellowship Project: UPGRADE: Tech and Accessible Education

The Tech and Accessible Education project is a 4-week program that will benefit 100 low-income students by providing them with valuable skills and training. Participants will be given certificates upon completion of the program, which will improve their employability and help them achieve their goals. The program will focus on providing participants with hands-on experience using Microsoft tools, graphic design software, and web development tools. It will also provide grammar tips and key phrases in the French language, as well as vocational skills like handwork and craftsmanship.

About the Millennium Fellow

Shakirat Okunubi is a freshman majoring in Biochemistry at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She is ardent about solving the lack of funds issues in making health care services accessible to individuals of low-income families.
From her experience in low-income neighborhoods, she has watched families lose their loved ones due to a lack of funds to access the provided healthcare services. Through her project, she hopes to alleviate these issues, allowing every individual to live their best life. Her goal is to become an obstetrician and a Menstrual Advantage Therapist who contributes actively to the medical world.
